Hiking in the Peruvian Cordillera Blanca
is a travel experience unlike any other. Our five-day
trek follows ancient mule trails though the Huascaran
National Park, a paradise of deep glacial canyons, turquoise
glacial lakes, Andean flora and fauna, and pre-Colombian
ruins, surrounded by glacier covered peaks of up to 19,000
feet. During the trekking season (April-October), the
climate is excellent for this high adventure trip.

Day 1: Lima
Arrival and transfer to hotel in Lima. Overnight at the
Ramada Costa del Sol Lima Airport, located adjacent to
the airport. Breakfast included.
Day 2: Lima
- Huaraz
Transfer to Lima bus station. Depart by bus to Huaraz,
250 miles northeast of Lima. Upon arrival at your hotel,
you will be briefed by your guide about the upcoming trek.
Overnight accommodations at the Andino Club Hotel, breakfast
buffet included. (B)
Day 3: Vaqueria
The trek begins! Hike up to a 15,000 ft. pass where you
will experience fantastic views of the surrounding Andean
peaks, including Huascaran, Huandoy and Chacraraju. Camp
tonight at Vaqueria. (B,L,D)
Day 4: Paria
or Tuctu
Today's hike takes you towards the Huaripampa Valley.
During the day you will slowly ascend the valley between
the snowcapped peaks of Paria and Taulliraju. Continue
to your campsite near Paria or Tuctu. (B,L,D)
Day 5: Taullipampa
The trails ascends steeply toward Punta Union, a 15,407
ft pass. From here you will be rewarded with views of
Mt. Taulliraju and its turquoise glacier lake in the Santa
Cruz valley. Camp tonight at Taullipampa at 12,456 ft.

Day 6: Llamacorral
As you descend into the Santa Cruz valley, the scenery
changes dramatically. Loose, pebble-like rocks, or scree,
turn into marshy meadows. Tonight's camp is at Llamacorral.

Day 7: Huaraz
This morning you will hike back to Cashapampa, where you
will board a bus for the return trip to civilization at
Huaraz. Overnight at the Andino Club Hotel, breakfast
buffet included. (B)
Day 8: Huaraz
- Lima
Transfer to the bus station. Return to Lima. Upon arrival
you will be met and transferred to the international airport.
