Horseback Riding, Venezuela

The Venezuelan Andes offer several opportunities to ride the local horses. In our 4 nights Andes Adventure, horseback ride through beautiful river valleys, homesteads and 11,000 feet high paramos and then from the tiny and quaint village of Los Nevados to the Loma Redonda Station of the world's highest and longest cable car system, reaching heights of up to 13,944 feet on the way. Our 3 nights and 4 nights Scenic Andes include horseback riding to glacier lakes surrounded by an incredible variety of mountain flowers and birdlife. It is possible to arrange horseback riding experiences in any of our preferred hatos in the Venezuelan Llanos, including El Cedral, Piñero and El Frio, where more than 1,000 horses roam these marvelous lowlands.

Explore the arid and isolated, yet scenic hills and coasts of Macanao Peninsula, the western portion of Venezuela's biggest island, Margarita, on horseback. Two daily half day tours are available for beginners and experts alike to discover this cacti-surrounded landscape teeming with birds and mammals like foxes, rabbits and goats.
