The Cumilahue Lodge, opened in 1962 by
Adrian Dufflocq and his wife Pat, is located in a remote
valley of the Andes at an elevation of 1,400 feet in Llifen.
The private grounds are located in a landscape that is
famed for its beauty and tranquility. There are wild rivers
everywhere, birds, animals and the magnificent forest
in a country with a mild climate. Not only fisherman enjoy
this lodge, but also vacationers who like the outdoors.
The outstanding quality of these waters provides an ideal
habitat for trout, which can reach unusual sizes very
quickly. There are no constant winds but it rains often
in the winter. Some of the prettiest and most productive
waters are within a comfortable walking distance.
Comfortable accommodations are provided
for days filled with trout fishing from November to May.
In the surrounding rivers fish with waders for an abundance
of fish in a variety of sizes. On the deepest stream you
may choose to take a full day boat trip. Packed lunches
and meals at the lodges always include Chilean wine. The
legendary, Adrian Dufflocq, is the grandson of the Frenchman
who brought the Cabernet grape to Chile, and one of the
finest anglers in the country. His wife Patricia insures
a fantastic experience by overseeing the surroundings
and renowned cusine. In the off season or if you are a
non fisherman, enjoy hiking, boat tours, float tours and
birdwatching in the area.
With a maximum capacity of ten the rooms
