M/V Skorpios III, Patagonia

The Skorpios III Cruise operates the Kaweskar Route from the city of Puerto Natales. 4 day/3 night cruises depart on Tuesdays and Fridays. Like it's sister ship Skorpios II. the M/V Skorpios III is a modern passenger ship offering luxury cabin accommodations and services. It is a fascinating 4-day voyage, sailing through patagonian channels and fjords, amidst numerous glaciers.

Built in the Skorpios shipyards in 1994 and 1995, she has 46 double cabins, Junior and Master suites, with room for 92 passengers based on double occupancy and 125 passengers with the addition of beds. The cabins are equipped with a refrigerator, stereo, television, closed circuit music, safe deposit box, and private bathroom with deluxe fixtures. The elegant dining room seats 125 passengers, and serves international and Chilean cuisine with an emphasis on seafood and an open bar at all times. The two bars and dining room utilize large screen projection equipment for briefings on the days events. Itinerary:

Day 1 (Tuesday/Friday) - Passenger check in opens at 4:00P. Between 5:00 and 6:00P. weigh anchor from Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Natales, sailing through the patagonian channels, Kirke Narrowness, Morla Vicuña, Union, Collinwood, Sarmiento.

Day 2 (Wednesday/Saturday) - 8:00A arrival at the Amalia Glacier. Panoramic view from the ship as the ship approaches the glacier. At 9:15A depart towards El Brujo Glacier. 11.00A arrival at the El Brujo Glacier and, if the weather conditions permit, disembarkation on a rock to observe the Glacier. At 12:30P set sail toward the Calvo Fjord. At 2:30P, reach port at the Calvo Fjord, with an excursion in a special motor boat, named the Capitan Constantino, visiting Fernando, Capitan Constantino and Alipio Glaciers, among others. At 6:30P, set sail for the Montañas Fjord.

Day 3 (Thursday/Sunday) - At 9:00A visit to the Montañas Fjord, where five glaciers, that slide down from the Sarmiento Mountains to the sea, will be seen. At 10:00A, visit the Bernal Glacier, where a soft hike can be done to the base of the Glacier and visit to the Herman Glacier to sail in its bay and admire the beauty of the area and multicolored icebergs (this will depend on the tide). Afterward, we will visit the Alsina and Paredes Glacier. At 5:00P, set sail from the Montañas Fjord through the Kirke Narrowness crossing. This evening, there will be a farewell party with a Captain’s Dinner and dancing. Late tonight you reach port at the Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Natales. Overnight onboard.

Day 4 (Friday/Monday) - Between 8.00A and 9.30A passenger’s disembarkation. Transfer to the Punta Arenas airport or Torres del Paine not included in cruise rates.
