This cozy lodge is set amidst virgin forests,
crystal clear streams, rivers and lakes just next to the
Rasmussen River. Accommodations are comfortable and the
food well prepared. Designed for fly fishermen, the lodge
has a maximum capacity of ten guests at a time.
The outstanding quality of the waters provides
an ideal habitat for trout, which can reach unusual sizes
very quickly. It rains often, mainly in the winter, yet
there are no constant winds, so the fishing is comfortable.
Some of the prettiest and most productive waters are within
a comfortable walking distance.
The Río Grande is famous for trout
fishing and is considered the second-best river in the
world for hard to catch sea trout. Nevertheless fishing
quality depends entirely on the river condition, therefore
this river is not always recommended. Along with the Rio
Grande, White and Lynch Lakes flow into Argentina territory.
Other options for anglers, Lago Blanco lies at the foot
of Darwin's Range, an easy reach from the lodge, the Rasmussen
River is the ideal river for dry fly and while at Cura
Lagoon and Carabinero Lake enjoy excellent fishing conditions
throughout the year and fish for great brown and rainbow
trout trophies. Experienced anglers looking for a challenge
may wish to travel the 6 hours to Lago Deseado, with a
three night minimum.
Included are flights from Punta Arenas,
private transfers, accommodations, all meals, bilingual
fishing guide and excursions. Anglers should bring their
own fishing equipment. Since it's chilly there, bring
warm clothes in layers.
