Puerto Eden Ferry, Patagonia

On board the Puerto Edén you will be taken on an adventure of a lifetime. From Puerto Montt you will pass through quiet and calm channels and be witness to the spectacular landscape and wildlife that Southern Chile has to offer. On arrival, you will have the opportunity to take an optional tour into the Torres del Paine National Park. The natural splendor of the mountains, glaciers, rivers and forests as experienced from this relaxed and comfortable ferry is unique.

The Puerto Eden is a cargo and passenger ferry that was built in Rauma Repola (Finland) in 1972 and refurbished in Brazil in 1993. It is 113.5 meters long and 19.2 meters wide, traveling at a speed of 13 knots and sails all year round. This is not a luxury cruise, but there is a wonderful atmosphere on board that is relaxed and casual. The Puerto Eden is the only ship with permission to sail through the fjords to Puerto Natales, from which you may continue overland to Torres del Paine National Park.

Facilities include a variety of cabins available for 96 passengers, a cafeteria, spacious living area, decks for walking and viewing and a closed-circuit TV, music and books for passenger entertainment.
