city with European roots. Many options are available in Santiago. The
Hotel
Plaza San Francisco is in the business district/city
center and only about a mile from the main railway station.
The Park Plaza offers the intimacy of a small luxury hotel
with an excellent restaurant and service and close to
the theaters and the Metropolitan Park for nighttime strolls.
The only option near to the airport is the Airport
Hotel Diego del Almagro which is a convenient accommodation
when flights arrive early or late or connections are tight.
Tour the museums and architecture of the
city with a bilingual guide for a quick familiarization
of this world class city. Areas of interest around Santiago
can be reached by road and accomplished in a half or full
day tour. Vineyards in the Maipo Canyon include Santa
Rita, Cousino Macul and Concha y Toro wineries with tours
of the process and cellars which include an opportunity
to taste the fine wines. The Hacienda Los Lingues grows
all types of fruit as well as being the breeding ground
for fine horses. The estate was established in 1650 and
includes a tour of the houses, chapel and museum. Lunch
