While
snorkeling is possible from every boat in the Galapagos, several
yachts now offer scuba diving. For certified recreational divers,
these departures represent an opportunity to participate (with
your dive guide) in a maximum of 3 immersions, to approximately
45 feet. Divers bring their own BCD, regulator, and wetsuit along
with proof of dive certification. Those
who are not divers enjoy instead longer hikes,
and a lot of kayaking and swimming.

For snorkeling and diving, we
select locations that are not feeding areas for sharks, at least
not big ones. Octopus, sea horses, star fish, marine turtles,
and other sea life caught in pools as the tide goes out are fun
discovery zones. Out in the open, you will find yourself among
moray eels, hammerhead sharks, White tip and Galapagos sharks,
grouper, tuna, sea fans, and coral reefs.
