Galapagos Islands
The
wildlife of these ancient volcanic islands inspired
Darwin's theory of evolution. The Galapagos National
Park is one of the most famous in the world due to its
uniquness. The unusual endemic species like blue footed
boobies and Darwin Finches still thrive among colonies
of sea lions, giant tortoises and penguins. Birdwatchers
will find dozens of species of finches, the flightless
cormorants, and pelicans in the Galapagos Islands. For
scuba
divers and snorkelers, the waters are rich
with life.
 |
| Sea
Lions and birds found only in the Galapagos inhabit
the islands. |
Swim
among schools of dolphin, manta rays, sea turtles, hammer
head sharks, whale sharks, and magnificent reefs.
