Round bungalows of Sol y Luna The Urubamba Valley is lower in elevation than Cuzco and an ideal beginning to explore the land of the Incas. Dotted in the valley with a backdrop of the Andes are the round bungalows of Sol y Luna. Comfortably outfitted with twin and queen beds and spacious bathrooms. The property has been cultivated with gardens of flowers. Thirty three species of birds have been observed in the garden including three varieties of hummingbird.

Short walks or horseback rides to longer 3 day journeys on trails made by the Incans should be arranged prior to arrival. Birdwatchers may want to take a half day journey to explore Pumahuana Gorge to catch glimpses of three different varieties of spine tails, the rusty-fronted canastiero or if lucky a Royal Cinclopes.

The hotel is in close proximity to the train station in Ollytaytambo where the train departs for Machu Picchu.
