CITY TOUR
- includes Cerro Santa Apolonia with a splendid view of
the city and valley, the Cathedral, Plaza de Armas, San

LA COLPA
- Visit the prosperous agricultural dairy farm. Next,
visit Llacanora, a picturesque little town, famous for
it's nearby cave paintings. The tour also includes a stop
at Banos del Inca, a natural hot spring.
CUMBEMAYO
- 9 miles from the city at 11,473 feet above sea level.
Framed by beautiful natural scenery, visitors are attracted
by its archaeological remains such as the pre-Inca aqueduct
and the geological formations including the "Sanctuary
of the Friars". The tour concludes with a visit to
a ceremonial site Layson, dating 200 B.C.
VENTANILLAS
DE OTUZCO AND TRES MOLINOS - The pre-Inca necropolis
of Otuzco consists of hundreds of funeral niches built
into a hillside, hence the name ventanillas, windows.
On the way back to the hotel stop at Tres Molinos, a prosperous
farm famous for it's dairy cattle and beautiful setting.
KUNTUR WASI
- Early departure for a 4 hour trip to Kuntur Wasi, House
of the Condor, a 600 B.C. ceremonial complex of the formative
period of the Andean Civilizations. Interesting monoliths
representing deities can be viewed on site. After lunch,
visit the Kuntur Wasi Museum which holds, among other
relics, an array of fine gold pieces found in the tombs
discovered with the complex.
HORSEBACK RIDE
TO LLACANORA - Adventure about 8 miles to the Southwest
of Cajamarca and discover the grottos of Callacpuma and
summit of the cataracts.
