CHAVIN - Full day tour through the ancient ceremonial center of Chavin, (800 B.C.), one of the greatest and most fascinating pre-Inca sites. This cermonial center is famous for it's stone-work, which can be observed on walls and columns as well as in the sculptures of animals and other deities. Lunch is included.

CALLEJON DE HUAYLAS AND LLANGANUCO LAKE - Full day excursion passes through the beautiful scenery of the Cordillera Blanca, full of snow capped mountains and typical Andean villages. Llanganuco, one of the prettiest lakes in the area, stands at the foot of Huascaran, Peru's highest peak, 22,186 feet above sea level. Lunch is included.

PASTORURI - Full day tour that passes through the southern part of El Callejon de Huaylas, passing Recuay, a picuresque town. On the way stop at Puya Raimondi an exotic species of Andean flora measuring 39 feet. Petroglyphs and mineral springs will also be seen. Trek 45 minutes or horseback ride to reach the snow-capped Pastoruri, at 17,177 feet. Enjoy the beautiful white scenery and for those who are brave, a bit of Andean skiing. Lunch is included.

TRANSFER TO TRUJILLO - Head out in the early morning to Trujillo, North of Huaraz. On the way, stop at the Sechin Archaeological Museum and temple with huge monoliths, approximately 3,000 years old. Arrival at the Hotel Libertador Trujillo or other.
