Taquile Island Overnight, Peru

Travel over the crystal blue waters of Lake Titicaca to Taquile Island, 24 miles from Puno. Here visitors will find, Pre-Inca ruins, world famous hand weavings and an ancient communal way of life to be admired. In this society the men weave intricate cloth for pouches and hats. After lunch a family will accommodate travellers in an adobe cottage adjacent to their home. In the morning, after breakfast, visit the archaeological site at Milusina hill with an impressive panoramic view of the lake. Return to Puno in the afternoon.
