In
this 20 days option, in addition to the 10
days journey, we navigate the complete length of the
Casiquiare to the confluence with the Guainia River, where
the Rio Negro is born. We visit indigenous communities
of the following ethnic groups: Yanomami, Baniva, Bare,
Yeral, Curripaco and others. We also visit San Carlos
de Rio Negro and navigate the Rio Negro to the border
with Brazil. The approximate 248 miles journey through
the Casiquiare, in middle of the dense jungle that covers
the edges, is of an almost absolute solitude, the life
conditions in the indigenous communities located here
being much more primitive than that of those located along
the Orinoco. The experience of this journey, in the heart
of virgin nature, is both overwhelming and unforgettable.
We don’t specify this itinerary in detail, because it
varies according to the river and weather conditions,
that allow advancing more or less according to the circumstances.
