dugout canoe ride up the Carrao River, you will find Jungle
Rudy's Camp Ucaima, ideally situated on the banks of the
river, above the Canaima Lagoon's waterfalls with views
of three tepuys and the giant Auyantepui in the distance.
Visit Sapo Falls in the mid-afternoon and cross its water
curtain from one side to the other. Accommodations are
in comfortable cabins with private bathrooms. (L, D)

3 Canaima - Angel Falls
Board
a motorized dugout canoe, called curiara, and set off
up the Carrao River. Giant tepuis loom over the savannah
and jungle below and countless waterfalls gracefully descend
the face of Auyan-tepui. Upon arrival to Orchid Island,
breakfast will be served. Afterwards, you will reach Ratoncito
Island, from where you can already observe Angel Falls.
A one hour hike leads to the Laime Lookout, offering superb
views and photographic opportunities. The rest of your

on your own. Overnight accommodations are in a rustic
bed-equipped shelter close to Ratoncito Island. (B, L,
