Starts in Ciudad Bolivar and ends in Canaima

Combine this tour with our Auyantepui Trek for a total Lost World experience!

Angel Falls is at its best in this itinerary that allows for a complete experience and includes an overflight of the world's highest waterfall, a visit to the seldom-tripped Yuruan Gorge, the narrow Kavak Gorge, located in the southeastern slopes of Venezuela's biggest table top mountain, the Auyantepui, followed by a river trip through the Akanan and Churun Rivers for a closer and personal encounter with Angel Falls, finishing in the beautiful and scenic Canaima.

Day 1: Ciudad Bolivar – Yuruan

Depart by charter plane to the Pemon Indian settlement of Yuruan. Weather permitting, there will be a bird's eye view of the world highest waterfall, Angel Falls. Close by are several caves and waterfalls. Set off with your guide for a trip of the seldom-visited Yuruan Gorge. Overnight in hammocks in a typical Indian hut. (B, L, D)

Day 2: Yuruan – Kavak – Kamarata – Ivana Meru

The scenery en route is spectacular, with giant tepuis looming over the savannah and jungle below. From Ratoncito Island, you can hike about one hour to El Mirador, a lookout point offering excellent views for photos of Angel Falls. Venture further to the base of the falls being careful as it's slippery and windy there.
