Pauji and its surroundings is an area that lies 44 miles
west of Santa Elena de Uairen. It encloses a complete
world of opportunities for the tourist with a genuine
interest in nature, including birdwatching, photography
and scientific studies. The area is surrounded by evergreen
and gallery forest, bush and savannah and an endless number
of rivers, ravines and waterfalls that make the area a
very special place. For those who wish a little more of
adventure, it is a beautiful place for mountain biking
and for several days' excursions to the jungle around.
This
introductory visit will give you a complete tour to all
the small and beautiful waterfalls of the area, and also
includes a jaunt to the Abyss and interaction with the
several artisans of the area. You will visit El Pauji
at its maximum.

1 Santa Elena de Uairen - El Pauji
Depart
in the morning from Santa Elena de Uairen to the young
and seldom-visited village of El Pauji, visiting several
small waterfalls on the way: The Cavern, Cathedral, Emerald.
Climb the Woypan tepuy to have an amazing view of the
virgin forest in the Abyss with the Pacaraima Sierra in
the background. (L, D)

2 El Pauji - Santa Elena de Uairen
Visit
two more waterfalls today, El Cajon I and II. Then transfer
back to Santa Elena de Uairen after visiting several artisans
that chose El Pauji to live (jewelers, honey producers,
stone carvers) (B, L, D)

3 Santa Elena de Uairen
Transfer
to the airport for your flight to your next destination
in Venezuela. (B)
