Day 1: San Jose
San Jose Airport reception and transfer to a selected San Jose hotel for overnight.

Day 2: San Jose - Mountain Biking - Turrialba
Enjoy a full day of Mountain Biking in the Cartago or Turrialba area. You will be able to explore the beautiful countryside as you ride along with your guide and support vehicle. Generally we bike between 3 and 5 hours depending on conditions. Overnight in Turrialba at a selected hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Pacuare Whitewater Rafting
This trip combines two days of thrilling whitewater rafting on the Pacuare River (Class III-IV). A trip of pure magic, unsurpassed beauty, exuberant wildlife and great rapids. Along its course lie several densely vegetated gorges, which shelter ocelots, monkeys, sloths and a large variety of birds. Warm water and breathtaking scenery combine to make an unforgettable trip. Though there are Class IV (intermediate) rapids on this river, an adventurous first-time rafter will find it thoroughly enjoyable. This morning you'll be picked up at your hotel in Turrialba and depart for the river, stopping en route for breakfast at a typical Costa Rican restaurant. At the river, your guides will give you a safety orientation. Then you'll board the boats and enjoy about 8 miles of rafting, stopping along the banks of the river for a picnic lunch. Arrive at your overnight campsite for dinner and evening enjoyment of the sights and sounds of the jungle. There is a trail system through the rainforest that you can enjoy, a freshwater stream and waterfall you can explore and a reforestation project nearby. You'll sleep in small wooden huts. Dinner and overnight Pacuare River Camp. (B,L,D)

Day 4: Pacuare River - San Jose
After a hearty breakfast prepared by your river guides, you'll continue on down the river, enjoying the beautiful scenery as you raft through a deep canyon where the jungle meets the water, waterfalls drop down from the thousand-foot cliffs, birds fly overhead and the water is a warm temperature. You'll take out of the river and be driven to San Jose for overnight at selected hotel. (B,L)

Day 5: San Jose - Outrigger Kayaking - Manuel Antonio
Depart San Jose this morning and transfer to Manuel Antonio National Park. En route you will enjoy the Outrigger Kayaking tour. Paddle through the warm waters of the Pacific Ocean, a perfect way to appreciate the nature and beautiful scenery of the Pacific coastline. Beautiful rock formations and many tropical sea birds like frigate birds, pelicans, and the occasional booby. Your kayak or outrigger guide will take you to a great place for snorkeling, where you will be surrounded by a wide variety of tropical fish. Continue to Manuel Antonio for a mid- to late-afternoon arrival. Overnight at a hotel in the Manuel Antonio area. (B,L)

Day 6: Manuel Antonio National Park - Canopy Safari Zipline
Morning tour of Manuel Antonio National Park (except Mondays when park is closed). Miles of sandy white beaches have made this one of the most popular parks in the national parks system. You will be able to view migrating marine birds, monkeys among the abundant wildlife inside the Park as the jungle of the national park reaches down to the beach. In the afternoon a Canopy Safari tour will provide a thrilling adventure as you traverse from tree to tree and platform to platform, using pulleys on horizontal traverse cables, to sail through the treetops and over the trails far below you. Return to your hotel for overnight. (B)

Day 7: Manuel Antonio - San Jose
Morning at leisure to relax at your hotel or participate in an optional activity, such as kayaking or horseback riding, among others. After checking out from your hotel you will transfer to the Quepos Airportyou’re your flight to San Jose. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your selected San Jose Hotel for overnight.

Day 8: Departure
Hotel pickup and transfer to the airport. (B)
