Day 1: US – San Jose
Airport reception and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at the luxurious Xandari Plantation, located on a secluded coffee plantation outside San Jose. Each spacious villa has a panoramic view terrace and private patio. The Plantation includes two lap pools, horses for hire, fitness equipment and miles of private scenic trails.

Day 2: Mountain Biking-Irazu Descent
Descend from 11,000 feet to 1,500 feet through miles of lush, green scenery. The road takes you through fertile dairy and farm land, cutting its way between Irazu and Turrialba Volcano. Overnight at Turrialtico Lodge. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Pacuare River Camp Class III-IV
Set off down the Class III-IV river. The Rio Pacuare, one of the few protected tropical wilderness rivers flowing through virgin jungle, is one of the most exciting and beautiful rivers to raft in the world. The trip covers 18 miles of river passing through the magical lush virgin river gorge where a 100 ft waterfall drops off the canyon rim directly into the river. River time about 2 1/2 hours. Mid-afternoon arrival at private camp. (B,L,D)

Day 4: Pacuare - San Jose
After breakfast at the camp and local hikes, proceed down river, with plenty of time for short walks and picture stops along the way. Lunch on river bank. River time about 4 hours. Return to San Jose. Overnight at the Xandari Plantation. (B,L)

Day 5: San Jose – Osa Peninsula
Fly to Palmar Sur on the Osa Peninsular. Launch off on a 2-hour boat trip downriver and along the Pacific coast in open seas to the lodge. Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge is discreetly tucked away in the rainforest amongst it’s 170 acre private reserve bordering Corcovado National Park. Each private bungalow features tiled floors, hot showers and ceiling fans. Delicious meals of fresh seafood, fruits, vegetables and typical Costa Rican cuisine are served in the communal dining area. Day 6 – 8: Casa Corcovado
Excursions into Corcovado National Park and Caño Island Biological Reserve are led by informative guides who will introduce you to the remarkable biodiversity and natural history of the area. You can snorkel among the coral reefs, swim, beach-comb, refresh yourself under a natural waterfall, bathe in a quiet, shaded pool or simply relax on a white sand beach shaded by coconut palms. You can also arrange for additional activities including diving, sea kayaking and deep sea fishing, or explore the area on your own. (B,L,D)

Day 9: Osa Peninsula – San Jose – US
Fly back to San Jose and connect with your international flight.
