Day 1: US - Roatan
Upon arrival at Roatan, you'll be met and transferred to Anthony's Key Resort, where you'll enjoy a welcome cocktail and an orientation. After being assigned to your comfortable accommodations, you'll have the rest of the day at leisure to explore the area and prepare for the upcoming days of diving. Anthony's Key Resort is a full service dive resort. It also offers a first class snorkeling and dolphin discovery programs. The resort is located in Roatan, one of the Bay Islands located only 30 miles off the coast of Honduras, and sits on the world's second largest coral reef - home to over 65 species of stony corals with walls beginning in less than 40 feet of water. Hills covered with lush vegetation behind the resort provide a true tropical environment. Nestled in the middle of a hillside jungle, the resort offers guests panoramic views of fiery Caribbean sunsets and a chance to escape from the hectic pace of "civilization". The resort spreads from the lush tropical foliage on the hills down to a shimmering lagoon with two private palm covered islets, Anthony's Key and Bailey's Key. The key is accessible by taxi boat, approximately a minute boat ride away from the dock, where beach volleyball, water sports, and a small sandy area with lounge chairs create the perfect spot to unwind and relax. The other islet, Bailey's Key, has a nature trail where guests may observe small wildlife, and where dolphin programs are provided. The open restaurant on the hill not only provides guests with delicious meals, but breathtaking views as well, and above all, AKR's exceptional staff will make your stay unforgettable.

Diving packages:
Include three single tank dives each day (7-night packages include two single tank night dives), air tanks, weight belts & weights, buoyancy control workshop , shore diving during shop hours. Upon arrival, guests will be assigned a boat for the length of stay, each staffed with a divemaster and captain. This ensures divers see a variety of dive sites throughout the week without repetition, and enables our staff to get to know each diver’s respective needs and abilities to better serve them. A briefing on diving procedures, how to sign-up for dives on the dive board and a required warm-up dive and equipment check will be given prior to your first dive. The marine preserve along the northwest coast of the island and directly in front of the resort offers a spectacular array of marine life. Visibility ranges from 60 to 100 feet with water temperatures from 78-86 degrees. You'll return to the resort for lunch, and set out again for a third 1-tank dive in the afternoon. AKR is a PADI Gold Palm 5-Star Instructor Development Center and has been a pioneer in the diving industry for more than 30 years.
