Dolphin Island Lodge is located on Uaguitupo Island, a private island directly across from the Kuna Island Community of Achutupo, approximately 50 minutes by air from Panama City. Arrive at the island by way of motorized dugout canoe.
The Lodge has 9 cabins built with a touch of Kuna style. All equipped with comfortable queen sized beds, outside fresh water showers and toilets. Power is generated from 6:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m.
A small court in the center of the Lodge is perfect for volleyball or a BBQ during the summertime.
Hammocks are strung between palm trees, and the ambiance of the island is one of relaxation and simplistic beauty.
Activities from which to choose while at the lodge include cultural tours to different indigenous communities like Ailigandi, located 35 minutes from the cabins, snorkeling, nature tours and visiting neighboring beaches where you can bathe in crystal clear waters or do artisan fishing. A visit to the Kuna Cementery in Achutupo adds to the cultural experience of these islands.
