Client Reviews of Lost World Adventures
Excerpts from just some of the rave reviews Lost World has enjoyed.

Paul and Ann Rosenwald at Machu PicchuMay 09 - Thanks for the great experience. We wanted to stay longer at each place we went - my idea of a perfect trip. We liked Rosenwalds with Peruviansthe location of our lodges and the dependability and knowledge of all the guides and escorts. Iit was wonderful to always know we were in good hands when we got off the airplane or onto tour. Ecuador, Quito (Dann Carlton), Galapagos, (Legend), Peru, (Lima (Costa del Sol), Cuzco (Posada Del Inca), and Machu Picchu (Sanctuary Lodge)) - Paul and Ann Rosenwald Panorama of the Andes

"[Our trip] exceeded our expectations. [We] would not take another trip to Central America without Lost World Adventures. Everything was as planned. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" ~ Nicaragua, Montelimar(Montelimar Beach Resort), Corn IslandClub Paraiso), Gradada (Hotel La Gran Francia), Leon (Hotel La Posada del Doctor), and Managua (Hotel Europe))- April 09 ~ Mario and Jeannette Fonseca

"Thank you for another fantastic trip! Arrangements were flawless. All the guides were excellent." ~ Peru, (Lima (Hotel Jose Antonio), Cuzco (Posada Del Inca), Machu Picchu (Sanctuary Lodge), and Amazon (Posada Amazonas))~ March 09 ~ Srikanth Damaraju MD FACC

"The sights kept getting better and better.  After Iguacu we asked ourselves, how do you beat this?  Then we walked among the penguins in Valdes, and it was absolutely unbelievable!  Then the mountains crashing into the sea at Ushuaia, with the snow-covered mountains all around.  Wonderful!  And finally walking on the Perito Moreno glacier!  As I said, it just got better and better.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on this trip. All the staff was first rate! Great being met @ airports and helped getting in & out. We can't thank you enough fo your help in planning & implementing every aspect of this trip. Fabulous!" ~ Argentina (Iguazu, (Amerian Portal del Iguazú), Trelew/Valdes Peninsula, (Solar de la Costa Hotel), and Ushuaia (Los Fuegos), El Calafate(La Aldea Lodge)) - February 09 ~ Bob Reyes

"LWA has arranged the two best trips we have taken -- and we travel a lot."~ Chile and Argentina (Punta Arenas, (Hotel Jose Nogueria), Torres del Paine, (Explora), Patagonia Cruise (Mare Australis)), and Ushuaia (Los Fuegos) - January 09 ~ Bob and Katherine Layton

"I want to thank you for truly making our honeymoon spectacular! Will & I were blow away with the level of professionalism we found in our guides, hotels, staff, etc. It was superb. All of the accommodations were well beyond our expectations, especially the Napo Wildlife Center. Also, it was so fantastic not to have any need to worry about transfers or figuring out how to get to our destinations. Each time we got off the planes, someone was waiting for us. Others we met along the way were promised that type of service from their travel companies and were quite disappointed. We experienced nothing like that and were so pleased at every turn. Carmen was so helpful and knowledgeable. She gave us tips on places to visit and great restaurants to eat. It was really comforting having someone waiting for you each time you landed. ~ Ecuador (Quito, (Hotel Patio Andaluz), Amazon (Napo Wildlife Center)), and Galapagos (Red Mangrove Inn) - December 08~ Sarah Sinatra and Will Gould

"we came back from our trip last week and would like to let you know, that your trip planning was perfect.

The “Legado mitico” Hotel in Buenos Aires was a beautiful and cozy hotel  in a great neighborhood of restaurant and shops. The “Tierra Atacama” was spectacular. One the most beautiful places we have stayed in. We had a brief look also at the “Terrantai” and felt, that the “Tierra Atacama” was a lot better. Also the Ecocamp is a fantastic place with excellent food. On every airport we were awaited by a guide. We got all necessary update on flight changes.

We very impressed, how perfectly the trip was organized."~ Argentina (Buenos Aires, (Legado Mitico), Valdes Peninsula (Bahia Nueva)), Mare Australis and Chile (Torres del Paine (Ecocamp), Atacama (Tierra Atacama) - November 08~ Robert Di Blasi

"We just got back last night from Venezuela and want to let you know what a fabulous time we had.  We certainly appreciated the professional services of Jonjac.  The owner, John, was very helpful and exchanged dollars for us as well as leading us through the airport coming and going.  We probably could have figured it all out (well maybe) but we all agreed that we were very happy that you had arranged for Jonjac to take care of us.  Likewise at Puerto Ordaz where Gabrielle had young ladies who assisted us.

We enjoyed what we saw but like most other travelers - one day in Caracas is enough.  The hotel, Ole Caribe was an oasis in the middle of chaos and we are glad that you arranged for us to stay there.

But our time in Canaima was incredible.  Each day and each activity was amazing.  It was extra special in that none of us knew what to expect.  We loved Jungle Rudy's - we were the only guests and got to stay in the newly remodeled cottage  by the dining area.  We were very fortunate with the rain and weather.  Gabrielle's son Gabriel flew us to Kavak the only day we could go up the canyon to the falls.  The day before and the day after we went, the water was too high for doing the trip.  As it was the water covered the rope in places.  Ruben, our excellent guide, led us and we were the only ones in the canyon which made it very special.

On our return flight back to Jungle Rudy's, Gabriel flew us in front of Angel Falls for some fabulous pictures of the falls and the tepuis - an amazing part of the world and we feel so fortunate to have been there when the clouds were behaving.

Rosanne was our guide while at Jungle Rudy's.  She was young and enthusiastic about everything.  I am sure over time her English will improve but we managed fine.  She took us behind Sapo falls which was very full and very, very wet.  We loved the entire outing which included a hike to Hacha falls. When we went upriver to Angel Falls another guide (Antonio) joined us along with four Venezuelan girls.  Antonio's English was excellent and the entire excursion was enjoyed by all of us.

The falls were very full (lots of rain during the night) fuller than any of the pictures that I had seen of them.  Rosanne had us leave at 7:30 AM for our hike to the falls which meant that we were the only ones on the trail and the only ones at the top.  We hiked down to the pool for swimming and before we left several groups had come along which made us appreciate how fortunate we were to be the first to arrive.  I can't imagine how crowded it must get when the camps are fuller.  And again the weather cooperated with wispy clouds that enhanced our pictures and rain that only fell on our return boat ride back to Jungle Rudy's.

We took pictures of the camps that used hammocks and were again appreciative of your arranging for us to be at Jungle Rudy's.  We all loved  Jungle Rudy's -  Gabrielle who explained the family history, the location away from town,  the good food, and the stone cabins with beds at Angel Falls.  All of it was wonderful and never to be forgotten.

So thank you again Andrew for setting up this incredible adventure.  We will happily recommend your services to anyone interested in traveling in South America."  ~ Venezuela - Linda Fletcher

"You booked my family of nine on a tour to see Peru last December/January.

I wanted you to know that the trip was a total success, for our first time to Peru your itinerary was great for showing us different parts of the country and teasing us enough that we want to go back again. There is so much to see!

My husband and I are in the whitewater rafting business in the Grand Canyon and know what it takes to make trip come off smooth when there are so many logistics to handle. Also we know how important the Guides are to making our trips exceed our customer expectations. Because we know these things I want to let you know that you that you are doing a great job planning and coordinating all the logistics for a vacation so far from home.

First of all the flights and meetings went perfectly. When we got to a new place there was always a friendly happy person to meet us and get us to our hotel. Second the planning and timing was great. This is our first trip where we signed up for a planned and guided tour. We have always been "do it your-selfers". I'm afraid you might have spoiled us because you made it so easy. I was impressed the planning for Guided time and time to ourselves, your mix was just right. I was worried we wouldn't have time to explore on our own but as I said it worked out great. Third the Guides were above average... They were well versed with their surroundings and were very knowledgable about all aspects of the area and Peru in general. I want to point out that (our guide in Cuzco) was the best I've seen in a long time. In our business we have a saying "Know your audience", well he figured us out right away and took great care to show us things we were most interested in. It was actually quite funny travelling with him, whenever he would start to give us a talk we noticed all the "Do it your-selfers" were hanging close by so they could hear what he had to say. At Machu Picchu our little group was being followed by a bunch of Argentinians. They tried to be casual but we knew they wanted to listen to him, so we just invited them to join us instead of pretending that they happen to be where we were all day. You can count on me and my whole family to recommend your outfit to everyone who wants your great service. Thanks for a fabulous trip, you made it easy. "~ Peru (Lima - Costa del Sol, Cuzco - Posada del Inca, Machu Picchu - Machu Picchu Inn, Amazon - Posada Amazonas, Puno - Posada Del Inca, and Taquile Island overnight) - May 08~ Pam Quist
